Interesting observations were made at fish farming ponds and in the area of Yeghvard, and included one of the 3 top species - the Pygmy Cormorant (220), also Blue-cheeked Bee-eater (15), Lesser Kestrel (12), Citrine Wagtail (6) and Black-headed Bunting (1).

One event was run by ASPB together with a local birdwatching club at Surenavan village (Ararata region) which also organized a quiz contest with the best answers to questions about bird migration receiving motivation prizes; and by the Aarhus Center at Yeghvard which engaged local schoolchildren in bird watching excursions.

We also observation other bird species: Little Egret, Great white egret, Squacco Heron, Mallard, Marbled Teal, Teal, Purple Gallinule, Redshank, Mute Swan,  Kestrel, Marsh Harrier, Blue-cheeked Bee-eater, Swallow, Hoopoe , Magpie, Starling

Majority of participant were members of AOS and members Students nature Watching Club created with support of AOS. We had guest from USAID (United States Agency for International Development). Also workers of Shirvan and Aggol National Parks participated in our event. Participants demonstrated very big interest for watching of birds. Telescopes and binoculars were provided for arrangement and staff of AOS helped participants to find birds and count them. It was very good weather about +17-18 C, sunny, weak wind (2-6 m/sec). Arrangement was conducted with support of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). They provided bus and meal for all participants.

We have carried out the professional registration of cranes in Yelnya national reserve. Moreover we have organized about 120 excursions and more then 20 observation sites that were attended by large quantity of people. Phone calls as well as information via Internet were coming in during the whole day.
